It all began back in 1890 at the Volf family homestead in Hellerup, Denmark, where cakes were first made under the Karen Volf name. Today it is one of Bisca's best known brands, and has lent its name to delicacies on cake dishes throughout Scandinavia.
Biscuit production began in Hjørring in 1922, and in 1997 the company took on its current form under the name of Bisca. Production and the company head office have been located in Stege on the Danish island of Møn since 2006.
Bisca is the market leader in Denmark and has the great honour of being a purveyor to the Royal Danish Court.
But Bisca's many products are also sought after far beyond Denmark's shores and borders. In the Nordic countries, the company is market leader within the biscuits and cakes segment. Bisca's market position was not a foregone conclusion; our recipe for success has been a constant focus on good craftsmanship and high quality since the very beginning.
