2 emissions. In 2009 we have reduced CO
2 emissions by a total of 1336 tons. A figure worth noting and one that has given us a taste for continued optimizations in the hope of setting new records every year.

We have reviewed energy consumption throughout the factory's 35,000 m2, covering everything from electricity and district heating to gas and oil both in connection with production facilities and other consumption such as lighting and ventilation. There were several actions that contributed to the reduction of energy consumption.
All employees are involved and well aware of the energy savings. A team has been set up across all departments – ”The Bisca EnSave team”. It exchanges ideas and carries out follow-ups. Lighting is switched off in offices during lunch breaks, computer screens are switched off at the end of the day, we now use power strips and do much more besides.
